How moderation works
Every comment starts as pending. Nothing appears on the site until an authorized Lapis moderator reviews it. Comments that follow these rules are published whether they are positive, mixed or critical. A negative experience, described honestly and without personal information, is welcome.
Comments are not published if they include
- Personal information about anyone: Medicare or Social Security numbers, policy or account numbers, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, or birth dates.
- Health details, diagnoses, medications or medical history, whether the commenter's own or someone else's.
- Harassment, threats, hate speech, or personal attacks on staff, clients or other commenters.
- Impersonation, including posting under another person's name or claiming to be Lapis staff.
- Spam: advertising, links, repeated posts, or content unrelated to Lapis or insurance questions.
- Medical or legal instructions presented as advice to others, such as telling people to stop a medication or which plan they must choose.
- Content that is unlawful, sexually explicit, or that breaks someone's privacy or copyright.
Moderators may reject a comment rather than edit it. Comments are shown as plain text; links are not clickable.
Replies from Lapis
Lapis may post a short public reply. Replies never confirm whether someone is a client and never mention coverage, plans or health details. Personal questions are answered privately instead.
Removing a comment
Anyone can ask for a comment to be removed: the person who wrote it, or someone a comment is about. Send a private feedback message with the category "A request to remove a website comment," or email contact@lapisins.com, and include the display name and approximate date. Comments with personal or health information are taken down as soon as they are found.
What website comments are, and are not
Website comments are visitor comments on this site. They are not Google reviews, not verified client testimonials, and not endorsements. For a public review on Google, see Reviews & feedback.
