Calculators and the Quick Snapshot run in the browser and send nothing. Contact requests and private feedback are stored in a private Google Sheet controlled by Lapis and emailed to Lapis staff. A request sent from a navigator's own page is emailed to that navigator as well, with a copy to the Lapis office. Website comments become public only after a moderator approves them. Personal information is never sold or rented. There are no advertising cookies, tracking pixels or analytics on this site.

Calculators and the Quick Snapshot
Dates of birth, income figures, answers and results entered in the roadmap tool or the Quick Snapshot are processed only inside the browser. They are not sent to Lapis, not saved, not placed in the page address and not used for analytics. Closing or refreshing the page clears them. Copy and print buttons work on the device only.
Contact requests
Collected: name, the preferred way to be reached (email, call, text or video), email address and/or phone number, an optional topic, an optional short note, the contact-permission checkbox, the time received and a reference number.
Used for: responding to that request. A contact request is not an insurance application, an enrollment or a Medicare Scope of Appointment, and it does not sign anyone up for marketing.
Please do not include Medicare or Social Security numbers, account passwords, medical records or detailed health information. The form does not ask for them.
Private feedback
Collected: the feedback category and message, and, only if provided, an email address or phone number for a reply. Private feedback is read by Lapis staff only. It is never published, never used as a testimonial, never posted to Google and never added to a mailing list. Without contact details, a reply is not possible.
Website comments
Public after approval: the display name and the comment text, plus the approval date and any public reply from Lapis.
Never public: the optional email address for the moderator, moderation status and notes, and technical screening flags.
Every comment starts as pending and is not shown until an authorized moderator approves it. Comments that include personal or health information about anyone are not published. See the comment rules, including how to ask for a comment to be removed.
Service providers
Information sent through the forms leaves the browser and is handled by these providers on behalf of Lapis:
- Google (Apps Script, Sheets and email): receives form submissions, stores them in a private spreadsheet in the Lapis Google account, and sends the notification email to Lapis staff. Google also serves the fonts used on this site, which means a visitor's browser contacts Google's servers when pages load.
- Replit: hosts the website files. Like any web host, it may process standard technical request information such as IP address and browser type.
Lapis staff with access to the Lapis Google account and email inbox can see form submissions, and a navigator sees the requests sent to them from their own page. Information may also be disclosed if required by law.
Selling and sharing
Lapis does not sell, rent or trade personal information. Information from this website is not shared with insurance companies unless a person later chooses to apply for or enroll in coverage with one, which happens separately and with that person's agreement.
Spam and abuse protection
The forms use low-friction checks instead of puzzles: a hidden field that people do not see, a check that the form was not filled in instantly, and short-term limits on repeated submissions. The repeat limit uses a one-way coded version of the email or phone number that expires within hours. No third-party spam or CAPTCHA service is used.
Cookies, analytics and tracking
This site does not set advertising or analytics cookies and does not use tracking pixels or session recording. Some pages may remember a display choice, such as text size, in the browser; that stays on the device.
How long information is kept
Contact requests and private feedback are kept for as long as needed to handle them and meet business and legal record-keeping obligations. Approved comments stay public until removed.
Requests and choices
To ask what information Lapis holds from this website, to correct it, or to have it deleted (including a website comment), email contact@lapisins.com or use private feedback. Lapis may need to confirm the request comes from the right person, and may keep information that it must retain by law.
Security
Pages and form submissions travel over encrypted HTTPS connections. Stored submissions are kept in the Lapis Google account, which only authorized staff can access. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.
Medicare and government sites
This website is not connected with or endorsed by the U.S. government or the federal Medicare program. For all Medicare options, contact Medicare.gov, 1-800-MEDICARE (TTY 1-877-486-2048), or the local State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP).
Children
This website is meant for adults and does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date.
